For many of us, the difficulty in starting a relationship with Jesus is that we buy into the lie that we're ugly and unloveable. People regularly confess to me that they are "too far gone for Jesus to care about them." Nothing could be further from the truth! Not only did Jesus die as a sacrifice for your forgiveness of everything you have ever done (or will do!), he did it while you were at your absolute ugliest (Romans 5:8). Now, he considers you sacred and beautiful. Jesus has completed the hard part; all that's left for you to do is accept and discover the new beautiful you waiting inside. If God thinks you're beautiful and lovable, maybe you should too. This sermon series is based upon scripture and James Bryan Smith's new book, The Good and Beautiful You.
